Riot Games (Korea CEO Yeo-jin CHO) announced the roster of 10 teams participating in the Valorant Pacific League.
DR, who has been steadily participating in the league since the first year of Valorant e-sports, has submitted a roaster that reinforces one person, and Benji and T1, who are the first in the Pacific League, unveiled their first lineup.
DRX swept most of the challengers in Korea since the early days of Valorant esports. He won the Challengers Korea twice this year and competed in international competitions such as Masters and Champions, and ranked third in the Champions, the most prestigious e-sports competition in Valorant.
DRX recruited 'FOXY9' Jung Jae-young as the existing members 'STAR' Kim Guitar, 'Zest' Kim Kissed, 'RB' GU Sang-min, 'Make' Kim Myung-gwan, and 'Buzz' Yew Byung-chul. Jung Jae-young played in Challengers Korea in 2021 as a member of the WGS, and moved to Japan this year and wore a Reignite uniform.
Benji, who participates in the Valorant Pacific League in 2023, formed a lineup with 'Meteor' Kim Taejon, 'K1NG' Lee Seung-won, 'Intro' King Seung-kyun, 'TS' Yew Tae-seok, 'EGO' IEOM Wang Yong, and 'Secret' Kim Hardin.
'METEOR' Kim Taejon played in Valorant Challengers Korea in 2021 as a member of TNL e-Sports and went to Japan this year and played at Forces. 'K1NG' Lee Seung-won was a member of the DRX's predecessor, Vision Striker, and was leased to Slave this year.
'TS' Yew Tae-seok was with Kim Taejon in TNL e-sports, and in 2022, he moved to On Slayers and played with Lee Seung-won. 'Intro' King Seung-kyun changed his teams such as Barely Gaming, Mucosa, and Rio Company in 2021 Challengers Korea Stage.
'EGO' IEOM Wang Yong has participated in Challengers Korea as a member of TNL e-sports with Yew Tae-seok and Kim Taejon. 'Secret' Kim Hardin was a member of Damon Kia last year and wore a uniform of Desperado in 2022 Challengers Korea Stage 1.
The players who will wear the T1's uniform and play in the Valorant Pacific League next year are 'BETA' Son Sun-ho, 'Munchkin', 'BAN' Josef Penguin Oh, 'Ballplayer' Ha Jung-woo, and 'Begun' Kim Bum-jun.
'BETA' Son Sun-ho changed the event to Valorant after working as a Counter Strike player and worked in Cloud nine in Valorant. 'Munchkin', a former Overwatch professional player, played for Lunatic High, Seoul Dynasty, and Boston Uprising during Overwatch.
'BAN' Joseph Penguin will join the T1 through the US teams such as Team Serenity, Latino City Gaming, and Knights, and 'Ballplayer' Ha Jung-woo, who is from Overwatch Bigger, played in Meta Athena and Florida Mayhem, and in Valorant event I have been active. 'Begun' Kim Yeo-jin is the first team of T1 as a professional.
Foreign teams participating in the Pacific League were also included in the roster.
Global Esports in South Asia has been named 'T3XTURE' Kim NARA and 'Jazz' Park Joni.
