Fortnite thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming almost limitless playable

Microsoft started the next stage of the "Xbox Play Anywhere" program. It is now possible to play the free-to-play game Fortnite thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming on Apple and Android devices as well as on PCs via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Wait a moment! Don't we already know that? Sure, of course! Thanks to Xbox Remote Play, you can already use your Xbox Series X/S as a personal streaming server and play the games that are on your console on the go. There are no additional costs. In practice, however, it has been shown to us that a faster upload is essential.

Now Microsoft has removed another hurdle to win even more players for the Xbox ecosystem. You don't even need a console or even the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to play Fortnite via Xbox Cloud Gaming. A microsoft account is enough. So far, the offer has been limited to the hit of Epic Games, but this omnipresent online game can now be played everywhere. The platform of your choice only has to have a web browser and support a controller or have a touchscreen. Compared to Xbox Remote Play, the possible bottle neck of your own upload speed also does not apply.

The current numbers that Microsoft has recently published showed that there is a lot of potential in this area. More than 10 million users have streamed their games at least once thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Not only smaller titles for the quick pleasure are streamed for in between, but also large blockbusters and there are various reasons. If you cannot afford a high-end PC or a console, but still want to play graphics monsters like the Microsoft Flight Simulator, you will find an inexpensive alternative in streaming, provided that the internet connection is sufficiently fast. In addition, due to increasingly realistic graphics and more elaborate synchronizations in several languages are taking up more and more space.

In the future, further free-to-play games should also be playable in this way. Specific names have not yet been mentioned. A few titles for the Xbox spontaneously come to mind. Among other things, Destiny 2, Apex Legends, Roblox and Rocket League could follow quickly. The chances are likely to be particularly good for the latter title, because Rocket League has also been part of the Epic Games family for some time.
